AutoLearn \u2013<\/strong> The car can learn new IDs without the use of a programming tool. You simply need to drive the car, and the sensors will be automatically reprogrammed. In some cases, such as with BMW, activation via the onboard computer is necessary.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> Let the car stand for approximately 20 minutes to allow the system to recalibrate. This is important because the car may not search for new sensors if the wheel change was done too quickly.<\/p>\n

The relearning process can take 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the car model. During this time, we recommend driving at a minimum speed of 20 km\/h.<\/p>\n

OBD \u2013<\/strong> To programme new sensor IDs in the vehicle\u2019s control unit, a TPMS programming tool with an OBD adapter is required. New IDs can be learned without needing to drive the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Troubleshooting tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Transfer the new sensor IDs via OBD and wait 5 minutes while the programming tool and vehicle remain switched on and connected.<\/p>\n

Then turn the ignition off and back on again (engine off) and wait another 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, rescan the sensors with your TPMS programming tool.<\/p>\n

After that, drive the vehicle for at least 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

Note for Toyota\/Lexus: The transfer of sensor IDs may be blocked. With itSens TPMS programming tools, you can first unlock the control unit via OBD before starting the ID transfer.<\/p>\n

Stationary \u2013<\/strong> Use a TPMS tool while the vehicle is in learning mode. New IDs can then be stored in the vehicle\u2019s control unit without needing to drive the vehicle. Put the vehicle into learning mode and scan the sensors with your TPMS tool.<\/p>\n

This learning method is common in American models and is also found in Europe, for example with Opel (Chevrolet) and Ford.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> Activate learning mode via the vehicle menu or, if necessary, by pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the key simultaneously. Apply the handbrake beforehand.<\/p>\n
